I was planning to bitch about gov.uk winning Design Museum's Design of the
Year 2013 thing, and what I thought was
a bit over the top reaction.
Fortunately for me, first the lazyness got better of me and then I just
realised that there are few things as stupid as calling out an outcome about
any industry awards. Why?
- Like football players arguing with the refs, they are hardly going to reverse the decision;
- Also much like football players, you're going to look petty, whining and a sore loser;
- Finally, much like the football players again, the chances are that the refs / award panel knows what it is doing.
So, next time you get a bee in your bonnet about some award or the other -
I'll have to remind myself to let it go.
