I - Heilmann vs. Flipboard on Canvas
Mobile-first Flipboard has made the move to the web this week and their engineering team revealed more details about their approach.
Christian Heilmann's response is the pick of the ripostes - making some great points while staying respectful of the Flipboard team.
I liked this pithy statement on what . . .

Small Wins, Big Mistakes and Fine Margins
This week the team was invited to present to a prospective customer. To impress the prospect we came up with a "wow-factor" feature and then jumped on building it.
Turns out the feature did the trick, impressing the prospect. In the office, there were high-fives all around. It's a small, but clear-cut win. It would be churlish . . .

I - Consuegra on "Materialising" Wunderlist
Material Design is gradually being adopted out there. Antonio Consuegra of 6Wunderkinder shared a deck on Wunderlist's progress on this front.

DLD15 was pretty good, it seems. Last week it was Albert Wenger. This week, Andrew Keen utterly destroying Mike Butcher.
Perhaps that is not such a big feat. Regardless, Keen talks lot of sense, whether you want to hear it or not. "What about the Arab Spring?", indeed.

I - Wenger and Zero Marginal Cost World

I am intrigued by the fact that Wenger is talking up Basic Income Guarantee. It's not a new concept, but it is an path worth exploring. Certainly . . .

I - Nova & Moosgaard talk Cargo Cults
Nicolas Nova has an outstanding interview with Peter Moosgaard, author of Supercargo Tumblr.
Read the interview first. Great stuff like:
The cargo shaman once said: You build your plane too and wait in faith. the waiting is the hardest part. [...] The cult of the cargo is our world exactly: We . . .
